Associate in Arts
This Option is for those students who plan to purse a B.A. or B.F.A. in Theater or Performing Arts and begin entry-level careers in theater arts, acting, communications, teaching, and other related fields. A grade of "C" or higher is required for all courses in the major.
Graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate extensive physical and vocal techniques used in various acting styles.
- Explain in writing all elements of a production sequence of a performance.
- Evaluate each phase of a production sequence in order to produce a valuable, entertaining, and meaningful performance.
- Realize a performance that exhibits the abilities to perform in front of an audience.
In addition to the program-specific outcomes listed above, students completing the Associate degree programs are required to demonstrate proficiency in the General Education learning outcomes. Specific outcomes may vary by program; please refer to the program requirements below.
