Eligible employers can request training and funding from a grant from NJBIA/NJDLWD
The Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development is a provider of grant-funded training. Courses can be customized to fit individual company needs on a request-for-service basis. Courses are flexibly scheduled and are available days, evenings, weekend, on-site or at the main campus in Paterson. We currently offer industry training in the following areas:
- Microsoft Office Suite training
- English as a Second Language
- Spanish for the Workplace
- Customer Service Training
- Leadership Training
- Time Management
- Team Building
In order to qualify for free training under this grant-funded program, a minimum of ten employees must participate in each class session. The workers must be employed at least twenty hours per week and need to be “on the clock” during training. Each participant must complete an online registration at leaset seven days prior to the start of the training. The company must provide its Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and DUNS#, and all obligations to the New Jersey Department of Taxation must be current. Participants may register for a course only if they have not taken the same course under another grant. Public (federal, state, county, municipal) employees are not eligible for free training under this grant.
